Parag Agrawal at the head of Twitter: Indian CEOs are popular in the United States

Parag Agrawal, successor to Jack Dorsey at the head of Twitter, was born in India. He thus joins an impressive cohort of Indian tech CEOs, from Google to Microsoft via Adobe and IBM. A look back at an immigration success story.

And six! When the announcement of the appointment of a new CEO at the head of Twitter , it was the departure of Jack Dorsey, the founder, who captured the attention of most. But not all. Irishman Patrick Collison, CEO of internet payment company Stripe, noted on Twitter that new CEO Parag Agrawal was Indian: "Google, Microsoft, Adobe, IBM, Palo Alto Networks, and now Twitter are run by CEOs who grew up in India. It's wonderful to watch the incredible success of Indians in the tech world and a great reminder of the opportunities America offers for immigrants." The tweet drew this response from Elon Musk: "The United States benefits greatly from Indian talent!"

Coincidence, this concentration of leaders? Certainly not. Engineers and executives of Indian origin are numerous in Silicon Valley, and their rise to the top owes nothing to chance. It is the direct consequence of the massive recourse to immigration, without which Silicon Valley could never have become the success story that we know.

More than 60% of IT, math, and engineering earners in Silicon Valley were foreign-born, according to the 2020 Silicon Valley Index . Many come from India: since 2009, 65% of H-1B visas (mostly granted to tech workers) have gone to Indians, according to the State Department. In a 2015 study, the Migration Policy Institute counted 89,000 Indians living in Silicon Valley, and another 86,000 in San Francisco and Oakland.

Brut spent a day with the singer Adé

Former singer of Thérapie Taxi, Adé launched her solo career. For her debut album, she went to Nashville, which she calls “the hub of country”. Brut followed him during the recording. “There was the blank sheet in fact. Here... The group has stopped” The singer, who had achieved success with her hit Hit Sale in 2018, separated from her group Thérapie Taxi to pursue her solo career.  Before starting, she asked herself the following question: "Ok, what are my fundamentals?" “There was all this very American side, folk song, And then suddenly, it sometimes pulls a little towards country.” "It's really a desire that I've always had to go to this music, and I think you also have to go and see for real". Brut found the singer Adé, in Nashville, Texas, during the recording of her future solo album. http://forum.zidoo.tv/index.php?members/man-maxx-gold.107488/ https://in.pinterest.com/pin/972214638282129009 https://www.gamedesire.com/player/buymanmax https://www.tet...
